These cables are more than adequate to get the job done. They extend the short GameCube wire enough to sit comfortably. I did not daisychain them as I only sit 10 feet away from the TV. They were cheap and work just fine.As for all of the negative reviews, I can understand why but I'll try and put it in perspective. Original Nintendo products are of the highest build quality you can possibly buy in any product. My original NES, SNES, N64 and GameCube controller's all work flawlessly after many drops and crashes, disassembly to remove skin gunk, etc. That being said, we have all come to expect the controller plugs and buttons to have an exceptionally high-quality about them. Here is why I think people are having problems with these extensions. The plug that gets inserted into the GameCube or Wii's port is a tiny bit undersized, causing the wire to be a bit loose on the console side. Now the cable sits in there just fine, however it takes half the force to pull the cable out as it does an OEM plug. This is not a problem unless you were pulling on the plug while gaming, which you shouldn't be. This is a non-issue for me.Then there is the opposite side of the cable that goes into the controller, that side is a bit tight. On first use, the controller's plug will have a hard time going into the extension. With a little bit of force, insert the cable all the way. They will make is a resounding click. Then hold the end of both cables nice and firm and unplug. After I did this twice, the plug now snaps in just fine to any of my controllers. It looks like it just needs to be broken in. One-thousandth of an inch doesn't sound like much but it makes or breaks a very tight connection to a loose connection. This is also a non-issue.Build quality of aftermarket products will never rival Nintendo's, unfortunately. However these cables work just fine and I have plugged them in and unplugged them dozens of times in the past two weeks, I see no reason for the plastic to start falling apart or the cables to start breaking. If my experience is less than stellar, I will update this to reflect that. For now, go ahead and get these cables they will get the job done. Just do not gorilla them out of your system or out of the controllers, I could see them breaking when mishandled.
